Why REGISTERED Art Psychotherapist?
Art therapy is an established form of psychological therapy and has to be delivered by trained art therapists, with clinical experiences and an up-to-date professional registration.
● Holding Core Feelings ●
Differ from the teaching on the use of spiritual tools, art psychotherapy emphasize a lot on the psychological health & safety of service users, which is our top priority as registered art therapist, equipped with clinical experiences to offer effective containment when deep emotional materials or unconscious materialsare being unfolded.
● Instant Emotional Support ●
In art therapy, intense emotional experiences can occur. This needs a well-trained art therapist with good sense of awarness and non-judgemental attitude to provide instant psychological intervention to service users. Like any licensed doctors, a registered art therapist is responsible for supporting users on spot.
● Confidentiality and Ethics ●
A trusting therapeutic relationship is built under good sense of security. Differs from friends and family members in social settings, a registerted art therapist is bounded to hold professional boundaries for ethical practice, who ensures information and artwork will be CONFIDENTIAL*, regarless to service user's identity or status in the society.
*(Unless under clinical supervision or health and safety issue arise.)
All the above put great emphasis on "Mental Health & Safety"
as service promise @ Healing SOULxiety.
Quote @s Art Therapist:
"Your becoming a good therapist is not about putting yourself apart from the people you work with; it is about coming to know intimately their pain, their humiliation, and their ability to rise above it." (P.31)
